I have Received calls today from a few players that can not make it to practice tonight and we have some VERY sore and beat up players that need a rest.  The Roanoke Rampage Fire and Police football team lost its last home game of 2010 to the D.C Generals 28-2. The next Rampage game will be on the Road at Orlando May 8th.

The Roanoke Rampage football team plays football for charity in the National public safety football league. This being our first year in the league we have had a lot of start up cost and overhead of running a football team. I am asking Each football player to donate before the game tomorrow $25 to $50 to our charity steps for billy. Our goal was to raise $20.000.00 and we have fell way short of that due to unforeseen cost. We hope to Donate $5.000.00 tomorrow at halftime.

Rampage players: If you owe any funds to the team please settle up tomorrow before the game so that we can donate that to our charity.

The Roanoke Rampage take on the D.C.Generals this Saturday at Salem Stadium at 3pm. Both teams play in the National Public Safety Football League. Both clubs are looking for their first win in the 2010 season. This should play out to be a hard hitting defensive battle. This is the Virginia Maryland corridor bragging rights game!

 Please pray for the rain to hold off to later that night,We really need a good turn out to help our charity!!

VERY IMPORTANT: The post game dinner/party has been moved. We were required to have a ABC Permit to host. We do not have one so we have moved the dinner to the Roanoke Firefighters union hall at 1115 Patterson ave SW Roanoke Va. All players are asked to come for dinner and a few drinks.Each player can bring a guest and children are welcome. For the young and wild of the group the party will move to corn beef later that night!! Please show the D.C Guys a good time and show them some southwest Virginia hospitality

Football practice tomorrow night at 6pm at Washington Park, You need to be in your rampage shorts and tee shirt. Bring your practice jersey and football helmet. We will work on cover 1 and special teams. We may run through some offensive plays. Make EVERY effort to be there. Saturday is a big day for our Program.We are looking to get a win!!! See ya on the field.

***PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE OF GAME, DUE TO BEING RAINED OUT TUESDAY NIGHT.  SHE WILL NOW MEET YOU AT THE GATE AT 4:45-5 TO GIVE YOU THE TICKETS THAT STILL NEED TO BE SOLD!  DOUBLE HEADER GAME, NOW STARTING AT 5:30, WEDNESDAY NIGHT.  Guys, I’ve rallyed Marci to be at the baseball game in Salem tomorrow night to help organize.  We will need you to have on your Rampage Tee Shirts or jersey to help her out before the game. She will have a table set up to sell programs and she will need you guys to handout flyer’s to get the word out on our game.  We need your to help before the game starts if you are going to the game please email us at toddnmarci1@juno.com and send your cell #.  Marci will meet players at the ‘damaged gate’ between 4:45-5.  We haven’t sold the tickets and will be ‘upside down’ on this fundraiser if they aren’t sold.  We will need as many folks as possible out in the parking lot selling these tickets.  Also, we need a player that would like to get on the radio and talk about Rampage football for 20 mins. she will put you in contact with the right people once you email us and tell us you can do this part.  I also need a player with a good arm to throw out the first pitch!! and it better be a strike!! lol.  Bring your wives to help too, we have LOTS of programs we need to get rid of. I am sorry that I won’t be there but I will be working tomorrow night.

Main thing is we are short on ticket sales.  I need a few guys to walk around the parking lot and sell the tickets tickets!!!

Due to the Extreme overhead of running a football team i am asking each football player to donate to our charity before the game on Saturday. I am going to put in $50.00 and challenge ALL team members to give something. I would like to see each team member  pledge $25.00 or more. At halftime we will give a check to Steps 4 Billy that will go to Cancer Research at Duke
